What is a good moisture meter that doesn't cost too much (30, 40 bucks or less) There was a post not that long ago for one that was around 15 or 20 bucks.

If memory serves you should be able to pick one up at Lowes or HD for around $30.

I picked one up on eBay for $18 - Free shipping. But, it shipped from Hong Kong so it took about 2 - 3 weeks to get here.....

Here you go: http://cgi.ebay.com/Digital-Wood-Moisture-Damp-Meter-Tester-Detector-2-Pin_W0QQitemZ370087371113QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item370087371113&_trkparms=72:1205|39:1|66:2|65:12|240:1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

I got the small one with the yellow case at Harbor Freight. With 15 percent coupon and on sale, under 10 dollars. Even off sale it is only 15 bucks. Works for me.
