Dear Lord, while I'm away at work for the next month, please don't let anyone steal the white ash and two red oak trees that the power company will be dropping on the side of my property. Keep them safe until my return. Amen. Cheers!

Amen. And may you also be safe on your journey. Keep in touch if you can.

Hey I just found out the power company in southern NH is dropping a few trees. I will let them sit for a week or so... then I am all over them... er uh... please disregard....

Same here. I am 9 hours away and I keep thinking about a monster Water Oak that I found on a vacant lot. I got one load and can't even tell that anything was taken from it. I hope no one has moved in on my score. I will post pics if it is still there when I get back.

Water Oak is my favorite. Especially the trunk. Splits so straight and easy. Pretty much all we have around here are Water Oak, Pin Oak, Live Oak, and Pignut Hickory. I've never seen a Live Oak dead or down. They seem to live forever.

As do Whites. I've got plenty of dead Red, though.

I'm praying that my Bodark score comes through...and for world peace, of course. :)
