............around here in western Ma. (really west) the current Berkshire Gas company bills show a 40% increase according to a editorial letter from an irate customer.
Of course I don`t use gas so I can`t verify this but I`m assuming it to be real. It`s my understanding that NG rates are the highest here in Berkshire County.
Maybe someone else close by can chime in on this with more?.
 
I just read in NJ they just reduced the price (in one company) by 16%. Maybe they increasted it by 25% in August, I don't know, but the 16% reduction was in the papers.
Gas in Jersey is now $1.65 - $1.75
 
An article in the local paper this week in RI stated the cost of gas is coming down in January. However, the cost the gas companies are allowed to charge to supply it is going up. The net decrease in price is between 3-4%.
