I have a lopi revere that has a brass door. There appears to be some smoke 'marks' on the door. I will be replacing gaskets. Does anyone have any suggestions to clean the brass. I have tried bar keepers friend and brasso. While the bar-keepers friend worked, I need something more effective.

I would try soaking a cotton cloth with white vinegar and wiping it with that. A little rinse with a wet cloth should do the trick.
