Well I have been lurking on this forum for about a year and have gathered some great info. from you guys. So about 3 weeks ago I bought a Lopi Revere insert to heat a 1100sq ft home. I had to extend my hearth witch I did this weekend with a friend who dose this for a living so it cost me just material. Now I sit here and wait for the insert to be installed. I should have it installed by the first week of October. I cant wait. Im glad I found this forum and looking forward to talking to you all. Thanks, jack

I'm sure you'll love that insert. Be sure to go buy a pair of welders gloves for when you put wood in the thing. I have a nice little scar on my arm from not using them.

We do expect photos of fire when its fired up! ;)

CF,

Welcome. We do look forward to those pics. Gloves are essential as well as a metal ash bucket and a decent metal shovel, all to remove the ashes from the stove.

EBA
EBA,you forgot the strong back part to deal with the wood.

Well Doing my first break in fire now. the thermostat is reading 80. So now we wait for the cold days of winter. This Forum has been very informative. Ill try posting some picture just as soon as I learn how.
