In The Woods
In the spring I was working way down the hill from here on some sugar maple and cherry when I noticed this beech up on gunner hill.

Tonight I went up and cleared some down pine, beech and ironwood so I can get this off the hill this weekend, I also had some visitors.

The first two pictures are the beech I'm after,3463 was a rotten beech across the trail,3457 is a sugar maple I'll take (base is getting bad)3456 is the boss for the night,3468 is gone and 3467 & 3471 is the trail and heading home.

Downed wood first, especially the beech. I hear you on the sugar maple, love that wood in the colder months. This is the first time since I've been cutting we have more beech and sugar maple then cherry in the stacks.

I'm wrong again, oh well. I think in another week that place will be loaded with them until the animals eat them all.

The bears park in the middle of our patches and gorge themselves. The ground shakes when you interrupt them this time of year.

If I run into a bear on that ridge I could be screwed unless I head straight down the hill on the fly or I can bring the equalizer

GTBTD: Get Them Before They Do.

I'm with Solar. I'd grab the raspberries first. They might give you enough energy to get the sawing done faster. Well, at least they'd taste good.

Great score Zap

I might be a little bias but I like my video's rendition a little better? ;-P

Sure is, that would look nice in the back of the Rhino and would remind me of RAT PATROL.
