Some people say that Rockwell's America never existed, but: it's 6 am and 13 degrees outside, and I've got a sparkly Christmas tree by my side, complete with presents and a choo-choo below, a roaring fire in my view, warm slippers on my feet, my dog by my side, a hot cocoa, and a wife and 18-month-old snoring lightly down the hall. Soon, my son will toddle out to find a play kitchen I assembled at midnight last night and my wife a Wii I connected two weeks ago without her knowing.

Norman Rockwell's America lives on in my home.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Heheheh . . . picturing a Norman Rockwell painting updated in my head . . . wife doing the Wii, husband holding up extra parts from the play set and a delighted kids playing with cardboard boxes . . . I think it would be a great modern take on an American classic . . . not that it happened that way . . .

Thanks for allowing us to share in your Christmas memories . . . sounds great.
