So TSC has North Americans for $197/ton, I have not burned these and most likely will not have a chance to test burn them. My other option is Maine Wood Pellet at $229 per. I have burned them, but not since 2009/2010 heating season. I had heard they have improved since then.

So, what would you go with?

North American's are the same as Curran. No major complaints but did have a funny smell(like crayons). A little above average ash content and decent heat.

MWP have been much improved. Super Premium quality at a "below normal" premium price. Please try a few bags you honestly will be surprised IMHO. Below average ash content and decent heat.

MWP..are great pellets for the cost..I paid 220.00 a ton...nice size to them (small) and have very low ash..nice bright yellow flame and heat in my Thelin Parlour...will buy more of these as soon as I can..
