I need a tree guy.... climber, bucket truck, or someone braver (dumber) on a ladder than me in Lisbon, CT, to give an estimate.

I have a tree that I need topped about 20' from the ground. I need you to be insured/licensed. You do not need to clean up/chip brush. I will not pay you in wood or beer; unless that is what you really want. This is a small cash job. I will keep all cords, chords, face cords, ricks, dictionary cords unless that is what we agree upon.

Seriously, I have a tree job, I will pay cash, and I want a forum member to have the first shot at the work. Really, its one oak and it won't make you rich but, I wanted to make the offer here first.

There's a guy in Colchester that I got a quote from last year to drop a tree and leave me the wood. I said I'd clean evrything up myself. $100. Haven't used him yet but plan to this fall. The tree I want him to take down is just too close to the power lines.

I'll follow up on Greg's lead but, if Sav drives down I'll do my best to host a forum party! I'd love to meet him and a few others here. May not be too fancy though; today is either the start of my vacation or my layoff. I won't know until the 25th when I am "supposed" to return to work.
