Question:

We have an old Earth Stove that we bought when we built our home 17 years ago. It has a round temperature gauge on the top surface of the stove. Are replacements available? Also- does the material that seals the door need to be replaced periodically? Thanks for your help.

Answer:

Yes- you do need to replace the gasket around the door. Most stove shops have this material. The temperature gauge is most likely a condar- which can be seen at http://www.condar.com Yes- you do need to replace the gasket around the door. Most stove shops have this material.
