As a new member, I must say I realy like this site. You all have some great comments. I live in northern Maryland and started burning pellets this past december. I have only burned O'Malley pellets and have not had any issues with them at all. I sent an email to the plant about buying direct and they said I could get pellets for $210 ton, but had a 2 ton limit to residential customers. Has anyone had experience or heard about these pellets? I am just trying to decide if its worth the 2 hour drive to pick them up, for I have not burned any other pellets.

Theres a few forum members who burned them and really like them I believe Zeta is one of them ,for $210 a ton if you could pick up both tons at once it might be worth it.BTW welcome to the forum.hotpellet said:

Yep Zeta has burned them and also stocked them up for the upcoming
heating season.
For me they've come very close in all ways to Lignetics and Barefoot.
You say you haven't used any other pellets so that probably doesn't
mean anything to you.

on what was available in my area before I drove out to get Omalley pellets.
They are a top notch pellet for sure, but there are a lot of really great
pellets out there and some areas of the Country have a lot of choices
available to them.

I too picked up a ton of the O’malleys for the up coming heating season. I was able to burn a bag this spring before the heating season ended. I found them to be above average and burnt pretty well. They had the same heat output as the Premiers I got from my local TSC. I paid at least $40.00/ton more for the Premiers too!
I know there are brands that are better than they are(Turmans-Barefoots-Hamers ect.), but for the price your paying($210.00/ton) I would buy all I could!
I plan to start the 09-10 season with them. Pretty sure there going to keep me warm with no issues.

Thanks for the responses, I believe i will pick up the 2 ton limit and start the season off with them.

I have the hardwood made in USA.
A good average pellet, has a little more ash than some people would like. I found them to be good for spring and fall weather. Only issue I had was they bridged in the hopper. A few bags had pellets that were over 2 inches long.
My TCS had them for $289/ton last August. But we got a 20% discount. TCS had RockyMountains and Lignetics this spring for the same price. I would buy those before I bought anymore Premiers. I am waiting for the mid summer sale!
