My Castile is now 18 or 19 years old and it's becoming like an old car. It still works but it's had a few parts replaced and it's becoming less reliable. I have it connected to a Honeywell wifi thermostat that I use all the time to turn it on before leaving my Long Island house to go Upstatel. It's also connected to a 6 inch flue pipe.

I'd love to replace it with a Harman but the only dealer who got back to me told me that you can't connect the Honeywell to the Harman. Can anyone verify that that is true. If that is true then I guess my options are between another Castile and a Trekker. The Castile does a fine job while we are there, but it doesn't do a great job warming the house from the 40's to 70 in the 4 or 5 hours that I give it before we arrive.

I assume that the Trekker would do a better job of warming the house, but would it be too big for the time we are there. The room that it's in is 12 x 24 with a 17 foot ceiling and the heat does spread out through the house so we only need some extra heat in the morning and evening.

What do you think? Can I connect the Harman? Are there any other pellet stoves that I should consider? And, will the Trekker be a better choice than the Castile in a very cold part of the Catskill Mountains?

Thank you
