P61 control board upgrade, get's me what?

So I just found out my p61-2 was manufactured around '98. I assume that means my control board is also close to the original revision (Rev A???). I have read that a control board upgrade could get me better startup/shutdown logic, potentially less pellet consumption. Is there anything else this would give me? Also, how much better pellet consumption are we talking? Worthwhile upgrade or pass?
