P68 Hopper Extension Question

I am considering a hopper extension. How does it attached to the hopper? How does the lid switch extend to the new higher lid?

There is a rod in the corner that extends up. I put one on my p61 but I'm thinking of removing it since my wife is only 5 foot tall. If your interested in it I'll make you a deal. Just send me a message if interested
