Hi, I am installing a Englander 25-PDV where I currently have a wood stove with 8" Chimney. I realize I can buy a 3" - 8" adapter and connect at the ceiling support box. My question is....What is the best, easiest way to remove the existing pipe from the stove to the support box. I loosened screws and there doesn't seem to be much play to move the pipe sections. None of the pipes are adjustable. Do I need to get a sawzall or something and cut out a section of pipe to begin the disassembly? Help....Thanks!

There are different makes of pipe that you could be using....we'd need to see pics of it.

BTW, I did the same thing you're proposing....I used the 8" pipe from the wood stove, and with the adapters. See pics:

Here is my current wood stove setup. I realize I will need to run up about 2 feet from stove adapter tee, then run a 45 to clear the mantle, then another 45 and straight up to 8" adapter. What is easiest way to take apart existing pipe from stove to ceiling?
