Curious how people with the Selkirk DT venting plug the outside air intake when not using the stove in the summer. I got my stove installed about a month ago and noticed a bunch of surface rust on the inside. Not sure if I should plug it up now though since we will be burning in a few weeks. Anyway, it got me thinking about how to plug it up next spring. Thanks.

I got a black plastic cap with my kit.

It fits over the outer pipe when the termination adapter is removed.

I'll try to get a pic when I get home.

what was the kit number you got? I wonder if I should have also got that. I bought it through the dealer.

my dealer puts the kits together.

I looked for the cap on Selkirks site and couldn't find it.

mepellet- Just wondering if you figured anything out?

Sorry, I hadn't looked into it since I won't need it until next spring. But I did send Earth Sense Energy Systems a message using the link you provided. I will let you know what I find out.

I plugged mine up using foil tape - I used foil tape on the OAK intake vent and I pulled off my end cap and foil taped the 4" Selkirk exhaust PL vent. Just removed the tape yesterday, no corrosion anywhere inside or outside the PL vent, worked like a champ.

The equivalent part # from Caplugs.com is (I believe) CE-322. The PC/CE series plugs appear to be the same thing. Check-out this link:

http://www.caplugs.com/productdetails.aspx?id=10000043&itemno=CE+SERIES

It looks like you can buy a case of 16 for $88.90 (plus shipping/tax). Spec sheet says it's 6.62" inside diameter...sounds about right. Anybody wanna take the plunge on a case? I'll buy one!

request a free sample from the left menu under customer service.

I provided a link in post #6

Ordered one, Thanks

Just ordered mine...suhweet! How long you think before they figure it out?
