I need instructions (step by step) on how to replace the combustion motor on my pp38 pellet stove. I tried myself and lost 2 mount screws inside the stove. they fell down I didnt realize the are inserted from the inside. How would I get them out or if not that, then any ideas on how to mount this motor since I cant get to the inside wall of the stove.

firstly...remove combustion fan cover plate (behind ash pan), remove combustion fan impeller (has allen type screw holding it onto motor shaft, be aware, this can be challenging and if it strips you will likely have to cut the shaft with a hack saw from the back to remove it), after removing impeller go behind stove and remove the 3 nuts holding the motor to the rear firewall of the stove (1/4" socket maybe). Thats pretty much it.

Why can you not get to the inside wall of the stove?

or, alternatively, go to your friendly Harman dealer and purchase a couple combustion blower studs, 3-31-53483208

thank you, I was trying to replace the motor myself, I feel silly now I see now that there isn't a place for the screws to fall but behind the 5" fan. I'm back on track, everything went smooth after that. thanks so much!

and yes i'm female.

Good job Leta! Now you can help someone (like me) when I have to do it.
