Hi Everyone,
New here. Joined after looking around and doing a little reading.
We have a Biltmore Woodstove, mfg in the mid 80's by a company called Biltmore Stove and Coal out of Travelers Rest SC according to the tag. The company is no longer in business.

As you can see it has a drawer to empty the ash. We need a new grate to go over the ash drawer. The size is 17 1/2" x 10", 3/4" thick. The grate is flat and has no legs and lays over the removable ash drawer. It has a couple of broken spokes in the old one and was wondering if you guys had any idea if we might find a replacement. Thanks in advance for any advice.

A pic of the grate itself would help a bunch. If a direct replacement can't be found, it sounds as though you could get a steel fabricator to make you a suitable substitute. Take the grate (or what's left of it) to a welding/fab shop and see what they think. Rick

Just remember that giving coals too much air by letting air in at the ashpan can ruin a grate. I've seen many a cookstove grate ruined from too much air under the grate.
