Hello,
I recently purchased a home with a wood burning stove/heater with the name plate of "Quick Comfort". I am looking for any information on this unit specifically who manufactured it. My homeowners insurance co is requesting this info/specs to insure the home. I have looked on the net for hours without success. The home was built in 1978 SE KS. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I gotta believe there is either more on that plate, or a tag someplace with more info. 26 years and I never heard of quick comfort (coincidence that was my knickname in prison)

After over 30 years in business, I've never heard of it either. If it's EPA approved, it would have a tag on the back with installation info. If not, then local codes may require an EPA model. If not, you would need to follow NFPA 211 guidelines and Uniform Mechanical code. Your local Building Department would have this info.

I looked a full 360 on this blasted thing, even looked under it. No other tags. Looks like time for a new one. *Sigh* Sooner than expected:( Thank you both for responding, appreciate it.

Here are some pics, hope they turn out so y'all can see em.

Best of luck to ya. If your going to look used, now you know what kind of info to look for. Let us know

Orrville Products, Inc. in Orrville, Ohio made a bunch of stoves with comfort in the name. No "Quick Comfort". The web address for the company took me to some pink escort service or something. So they might be out of business or in a new "Quick Comfort" line of work.

A pic or two could really help here.

Can I have the phone number for that new company? I need to do some "research"

And yeah, as Pen said, it would be great to see a photo of that mystery stove.
