Raise stove on basement floor

I just installed my wood stove this morning with 6" blocks under it. This gets me closer to the wood(less bending)
and it keeps my furnace up where the occasional "water in the basement" won't touch it.
 
Bricks look nice and you won't have to worry about paint or finish on the cement floor under the stove.
 
If the basement floor is concrete=== no worries. You are "home free"..

Never yet met a piece of concrete that was flammable.-lol
 
Before you do anything, check your install manual for the vertical clearances required above the stove top...
If you meet the clearances - with or without the bricks - it's up to you...
Getting some buds to lift your woodstove a few inches is gonna cost ya some beers!
 
get the stove up 6 inches if you can ,it will add years to your back
