Bought a used stihl 025... runs and cuts strong..some times it wont idle correct.. and if u let it die on its own its extremley hard to start..and u can smell gas...if I cut it off with kill switch this wont happen...any suggestions?

dirty air filter and or adjust the carb setting to the right 1/16 of a turn.

Make sure the air filter is clean/new (Filter is very inexpensive for these) and reset carb to factory settings. Adjust as necessary from there. Sounds like the saw is loading up with fuel at idle from a mis-adjusted L screw or other cause.
