We are seriously thinking about replacing our propane insert with a pellet insert. The current propane insert is vented through the chimney. What will we have to do for venting for the pellet insert. Is it going to be an expensive install? Also can anyone recommend an insert. we already have a pellet stove in the basement and love it, but we aren't getting enough heat on the main floor running it on 3, so this insert would be a supplement. Thanks for any info.

You will need at least a liner to run up the chimney. Along with a surround, and possibly a few other things. The Omega is quite the stove. There is another user on here that has one. (J-takeman). Its a beast from what I understand. How big is your house? Are you running the stove on a T-stat? How much time is spent in the basement? Can you move your current stove to the main floor? If your hearth is big enough, you could set the Enviro there, and just run a liner up the chimney. Just a thought.
