Does anyone know the purpose of the sideboards on the Revolution burnpot? Should they be removed for burning 100% pellets? Does it matter? Please give your reasons, whether opinion or knowledge. I can't find the answer in the manual, and my dealer is clueless.

Nobody knows, huh? Oh, well. Thanks anyway.

They may need to be removed for burning straight pellets for best results. The are supposed to be removed on the Auburn burning pellets. If you are burning pellets remove them and see how it goes. I would try it both ways. I have only read great things about the Revolution by St Croix. Good Luck.

I've heard that about the Auburn , that's what got me wondering. Thanks
