checked out a free firewood CL ad...
I got 4 loads from it. Got up early and cherry picked what I wanted.
2 loads of ash, 1 load of cherry, one load of sycamore.
that is plenty for 1 weekend working alone. JMO

That indeed is a very nice find. Get several weekends like that and you'll be sitting pretty.

That makes 12 loads of rounds added to my already css3 cord. I need to stop and split and stack. Mrs. Mecreature is really on board with this stuff.

I always find that anytime I scrounge the person wants you take it ALL. I have some bottom rounds that are 4 feet across and weight a ton! Splitting it manually will take a while and I have been avoiding it!

Great score!
Nice clean solid wood!
At first I thought it was snow on the ground, but when I looked close, mud & saw dust.
Got it S&S yet :)

hope ya have a hydraulic splitter for that sycamore!!!

thanks, it was a good couple days.
pictures never do it justice either.

4 loads that sagged my 1500.
I always take a few swings with the maul and fiskars.
the cherry splits nice. a few are being cranky. the ash seems to
split fine. the sycamore for get it. I have a bunch more back by the stacks
I am renting a splitter before I grab anymore.

a local farmer dropped by with his tractor and probably got 10 6 ft logs off 2 big red oaks maybe 28 inches round.
He got several others, same thing. He made short work of a bunch of good trees. Made everyone else work quicker.
