being messing around trying different things and last night used 8-10 in logs. What a difference!!!!!.The heat from the blower alone was night and day, upstairs soared to 74 and down a balmy 68

what stove? Hint, hint, update your sig.

8 to 10 inch logs compared to what? I assume you are talking rounds.

Was fairly balmy in NE yesterday - reach 44* in central NH. It was VERY easy to keep the house nice and toasty. Test will be tonight and this weekend when it gets a bit colder.

8-10 inch logs V 16-20 in logs in a scandia 305 C

Were you loading N/S with the shorter splits, as opposed to a usual E/W?

Short cut wood gets drier faster.

Hint: On the very top of this page you'll see "Your Control Pane." Click on that and enter information. Then go to Signature and edit. Put stove in there and any other information you might like others to see. After you do this, every post you make will have that information. It really helps others in answering posts. Thank you.
