Took my stove apart to silicone the the adapter and tape up some of the joints because we had a smoke smell.Slightly in the house... while I was doing that, I noticed my distribution blower was very dirty. So I took a brush and cleaned that and then vacuumed it as best I could, without taking it out... when I started up the stove, it's had a weird burning hair smell coming out of the vents for a good 5-7 minutes. Yes we have dogs in the house... is that normal? The smell seems to be gone now...

As long as it went away in fairly short order, I wouldn't worry about it. A few strands probably drifted up and either landed on the exhaust pipe where it crispified, got between the stove body and the hopper, or it could have even floated around to the front of the stove and gotten in the air tubes. As long as there isn't a large dust bunny of hair, it shouldn't cause a problem.

I get that smell for a short time every once in a while - I have 3 cats so sometimes hair happens ;)
