Looking good Zap.
I see tarps, you been having rain?
Weather for your area shows clear & 42 tonight, Still getting that cool?

The tarps on the ground are from the winter (cleaning next week) the one pile that is covered is wood left over from last year. It's been dry here this spring but we did get some needed rain the other night, feels like a nice fall out ther tonight.

Once I get this Cherry taken care of I'll hit the hills for some Beech that is down along with some Hemlock. How is the weather in that beautiful state of Alaska?

Today was the nicest day so far this year here in the central mtns of PA. Upper 70's to low 80's, really low humidity, sunny and just outright beautiful. Low of 49° tonight and that's great sleeping weather! It could stay like this all summer as far as I'm concerned. Keep up that great work Zap. I split around a half cord of red maple and beech tonight, the maple is going up to hunting camp, beech is staying here. ;)

Sounds good S.O., I'll take beech all day long.

Nice work Zap.....

Nice Stacks.....

Thats some fine BTU's :) Love to look at your stacks....

I grabbed another two loads of Cherry tonight, finished the last stack from last night then started this new one. I still have some left on the ground along with some cutting left, looks like I'll start cutting the rest of the Cherry next week if not before.

Ho hum. Another day in the woods with zap.
Seriously though, do you ever stop to breath? Wish I had enough woods to be able to do that, but still not sure I'd be able to.
The bar just keeps getting higher.......!!

Nice work Zap. No rest for the best.
I'll take some of that rain bogydave. It is EXTREAMILY DRY here. We've only had two 1/10 of an inch showers in the last month and a half or so. No rain in sight and highs in the low 90's high 80's for
the next week. Some of the corn may not make Knee high for the fourt of july if it makes it at all.

PapaDave, I'm just starting back up on the hardwood again so once I'm done with this it's back in the woods grabbing some downed maple. After the maple we have two cherry that are hung up, not much down on the forest floor so I'll concentrate on topped off trees after this. I always try to cut for replacement (3 cord) what I'll use this heating season before February so we won't have one empty stacking area. ::P

But before that happens it looks like some boat action coming up.

DexterDay, thanks. Dennis preached enough about getting ahead that I can work at my own pace at this point, still need to come up with three cord of hardwood before next year. We got rid of the old green truck so it will be smaller loads coming out of the woods.

Woodmaster, dryer than a bone up here and the weather looks like it will be in the 80's next week with very little rain, come on mother nature.
