Is it necessary to pitch the horizontal 3 foot section of stove pipe coming out the back of my stove ?
If so how much per foot?
thanks ,doug

At least 1/4" per foot will encourage the flow of exhaust gases from stove to chimney. Rick

Yes! Smoke does not like to go downhill. An uphill pitch can make a very big difference, even with a short piece of horz. pipe.

It is advisable but certainly not a show stopper. There are about a bazillion straight, level thimbles running two or three feet through walls in this country with stoves attached to them that seem to draw just fine. Mine included.

I have never seen the snout on any tee angled up.

Now, angled down is a no-no.
