We moved into a house that has a pellet stove as a primary heat source. The stove is an Enviro/ Regency GF 55, looks to have been installed in 2019. In the process of troubleshooting a pipe leak, my wife and I were mulling the idea of grabbing a Harman under warranty before tax credits expire.

We were thinking we may be starting to get to that point where we start to see failures with the GF's components. I do regular maintenance but can't speak to the prior ~4 years.

Any thoughts on the enviro longevity? Are we being hasty? Also for what it's worth, I don't imagine we'll be in this home more than 3-5 years.

Johneh has been running an Enviro for 25 years?. I just got a Harman P43 in Feb this year so I have had the opportunity to burn probably 120 plus bags of pellets. They are very well made stoves, and simple controls on most of them. I was looking at getting an Enviro mini myself. I met a guy that has been running a Harman for 15 years. I'm not sure about your model. Johneh will know.

The Gf55 is a Regency stove built with Enviro Parts.
Basically, the Enviro second line.
It is almost Identical to the Enviro fe3
45 thousand BTU at about 75% efficiency
My stove was installed in the fall of 2002
The only replaced parts are the Combustion fan and the circulation fan.
Personally, I like the Enviro line. If you search the forum, you will find
that they have fewer problems than other stoves of the same quality.
Parts are easy to get, and the stove is an easy unit to repair.
Get to know your stove and its workings, keep it clean, and the fan oiled
Ash is any stove's greatest enemy. Harman builds a nice stove, but way too picky
for my taste. I prefer plug and play. A clean stove, no matter what make, is a happy stove.
For my money, keep the stove you have ! You could do 3 or more complete rebuilds
on that stove before you came close to the cost of a new Harman
Just my nickel's worth.
