the stacks are covered

there a cord and a half of 3 year seasoned oak next to the house

and i've run out of room to stack next years wood in reasonable length rows so i just pile it 8 feet high

Approaching best time of year for me, which is in a couple of weeks when the humidity here in Virginia goes away and the gnats die!

i am personally hoping for another 4 weeks before we need to fire the stove at all....we have a very large west facing window so the afternoon sun fills the house pretty good....if we can make it to october with no fires the weather has been good.....but i wouldn't be too sad if i had to fire up earlier lol
