When I was in Lowes picking up some items I ran across these composite shims, I'll give these a try when we start milling.

Those look nice. How much did they set you back? Should last virtually forever.
 
That will work. Those you probably have to double up.

Timber wolf brand threw me. Thought they made wood splitters and stuff like that.

They might melt in tomorrows heat, heat index near 100 which is high for northern ny.

Its headed your way. I think the index is 117 right now. They say this afternoon its going to warm up a tad. ;-)
