Question:

I just recently noticed the warning on Duraflame but have used them in the past. I guess I'll have to stick with real wood until I can afford a fireplace. Would regular coal be OK to use?

Answer:

Unless you have a coal stove- you should not use coal. Exception might be certain type of brown coal (lignite or channel coal) available at Agway.
