I just replaced the thermocouple and here is what I have. Pilot light lights and stays lit with big blue flame, however when I flip the gas to on the pilot light goes out. I'm thinking it's now the gas control valve, but thought I'd ask

Yes bad Valve..but make sure the stove itself is shut off and turn the knob from pilot to on very slowly. Try it a bunch of times. Those Honeywell valves can be very finicky.
