After watching the politicians over the years and given the current state of the economy,
one might conclude that they couldn't find their fanny with either hand, or which
end to scratch if they did. In my area we have something like 3 million acres of
beetle killed pine on the national forest, rising unemployment, shuttered sawmills, and the politicians
doing nothing. The fires and smoke will be as they say, biblical. Mile after mile of dead trees, a once green
viewscape looking like an orange carpet. The enviros are blocking any attempt to do anything other
than let it burn.

Interesting article on bioenergy---

You need somebody to tell you a low emmision unit is better?

It seems to me that the person trying to cook on an open fire of camel dung doesn't need the WHO, or EPA to tell her she'd be better off if she had a garn.

About the second posters post,it should be used for heating homes and small buildings and stores where you can get 80-90% efficiency out of the wood. Forget electricity, you only get 30 efficiency when making electricity. But let it burn up in a forest fire, and then they can be happy to see enough carbon go into the atmosphere that equals 5,000,000 cars going down thew highway at once. Yah !!!, that makes sense, to a liberal. Then the ash can make mud slides and go into the rivers and kill fish! Hey, there yah go! What a thought!
