We burned our last shoulder season wood planned for this fall, just under 4 face cord. We've been burning EAB killed ash, that's a nice change.

We have another 2 face cord of shoulder season wood left for the spring.

Ended up just tossing some cut offs in before work this morning. Won’t be home until tomorrow. I was pleasantly surprised how many good coals there was after 12+ hours.

Going to 32 tonight. House 67 wife is cold so loaded with oak, maple splits and knotty elm chunks.

Supposed to get 30 at my place over night. 35 right now and a wintery mix is in the air. Possibly even some snow flakes in the next hour. I have some ugly chunks of maple and oak in the stove as we bring the temp inside from 65 to something more comfortable. I may indulge in a cup of decaf coffee.

Currently 30 out, 70 inside. Had 2 medium size pine and aspen fires today. Trying to keep the coals simmering enough to not have a cold start in an hour or so.

It's 25.3 out tonight, the basement is starting out at 75 with the temps up here 70 & 71. The overnight load has mostly ash with a few splits of soft maple in it.

Im just getting in the door from work this a.m. and am going to burn down Sunday mornings coal bed a little bit before a load of spruce goes in around 9am. That was a good 24 hr burn, the house was at 67 (six sevvvven for anyone with kids 🙄) with the heat set to 65. 👍🏼

My kids are the same with the 6-7 BS. Drives me absolutely nuts! So dumb what kids are repeating these days 🤦🏻‍♂️

You burn 🔥 hot 🥵. That blaze will heat the house quickly!! I also have lots of cutoffs. Use to fill gaps on my cold starts.

Sure does! Heated up that room quick which is what I was after. Short lived, though.

Very nice secondaries on this load with nice blue flame

Good Morning! 30/ 68 this morning. Feels like is 25. Bit of a chill in the morning. One of these times I will get some stove pics. I'm having picture issues with my phone right now but I need to spit shine and polish the glass. Mine gets soot-ed up during the low burns.

Some pallet wood and a split of oak to build up my coals a little then whatever is next on the pile goes on next,

Cold start of oak and ash with some type of Y branch chunk. 700 STT warming the place up.

Had pretty good coals with a STT of 200 after 12 hours. 35 with real feel of 27. Some red and silver maple, a little ash and a split of oak this morning. This one is burning nicely. STT 625-650 blower on med-high
