What Is This "Hook" On The Side Of The Blaze King?

On both sides of the BK King, just below the top plate, there is this "hook"...as shown in the pic

Does anyone have any idea why it is there and what it could be used for?

Could it be for the optional side shield kit? (Page 29)

Yup. It's a retainer for the side shields.

Here I thought that was for the optional wall-hanging option, I hear the rear clearances are amazingly tight on those things.
