burned 4 tons. Overall happy. There are some fines, pretty consistant in size, I found the ash to be very "fluffy" by that I mean compared to others i burn there seems to be more ash. Other products I burned seemed that the ash seemed to compact down somewhat during burning these did not. I also found that my glass seemed to get dirtier faster than others. In summary, good burn, more ash, average fines, dirty glass. I would buy again, decent pellet.
I bought about 5 bags of these in November just to try em out.
When possible, I prefer to buy a few bags of a brand before commiting
to buying them in bulk.
If the price is right, I would consider these if I could not find my favorite.
I own a Sante Fe,which is almost the same thing as a Castile. I have burned everything available in Maine this year. I found the LG Granules the best pellets to burn. They are a softwood type of pellet. if you are looking for a hardwood pellet that is good, try the Green Team from Lowes. They burn hot, very little ash and minimal clinkers.
