I'm finding that the ceiling fan is really important for getting the heat out of the room that the stove's in, so I'd like to run it alot. Anybody ever measure the watts a 3 speed fan uses on each speed?

Assuming your running at 1/4 hp, 90% efficiency, the power draw should be no more than 168 Watts or so. Assuming 10 cents per kiloWatt-hour which is a pretty good country average, you would pay about 1.6 cents per hour to run the fan. Lower speeds of course would be proportionally less.
I bought my energy star fan at HD this summer and on low it only consumes 6 watts. I haven't turned it off since mid September. I am positive about teh low rating but the medium setting I am only about 75% certain is only 36 watts.
The fan is a typical Hunter or Hampton Bay and has NO lights since my low ceilings would put lights down in head range.
You will be amazed at how cheap a ceiling fan is to run. The low setting is almost completely silent and removes thermal stratification without feeling blown.
