learnin to burn

Picked this load up the other night. I thought in the dark it was poplar but realized the next morning it wasn't. 3 rd pic is of stuff that has been split but unidentified. Any help would be great.

1 & 2 are beech... good stuff. 3rd might be cheery, apple or even maple... it's hard for me to tell from that picture.

No problem WB I loose track sometimes too.

Any idea what type of maple guys. soft or hard, red ... It doesn't look like silver which is all I've seen.

Grade A stuff my friend! It can be hit or miss as far as splitting it goes, but it sure burns nice! :coolsmile:
