BirchI did construction work in Seattle. If work was called everytime it rained, nothing would ever get done.
What type of wood do have there, and looks like you have a few acres to play on?"
Dave, that truly is die-hard for wood splitting. I simply wait it out. Hate handling wet wood. Ha! This year I never finished the stacking until in June or July. I think I got the splitting done some time in April though. I split only once per year.
EDIT: Nice view of the mountains.
Tarp still up this AM, still raining. Not much wind so far. Monday to have more wind, hope to be done by then.Dave, I hope the wind doesn't come up...
Rained hard all night long in our area too, nice idea.

Just think of 3 years ago, Dave.
We've come a long way.....enjoyed the trip.
Probably the best thing to do with that Birch is to not let it sit too long, eh?
Thanks for enduring the rain Dave, please keep it up there.
Down here we have been having one of the nicest, driest Falls in years, if we can continue with this weather for another 3 months or so I may not even have to touch the wood in my woodshed.
My plan for Sunday was cutting some dead standing but it's located in a area that will be to wet, looks like I'l check the trails then get the beech off the hill.
Sunday they are calling for a low of 27 with the rest of the week cool so we will push in more pine.
