So Cent ALASKA
Sunny day. Even saw my shadow :)
Another load of rounds.
Was kind of nice to cut in 42° & shunshine :)
Fell, limbed, cut to skidable lengths, skid to the road, cut , load ,
take about 3 skid & cut trips to get a load. Then home & off load

Nice , I was out this morning beautiful day. Cut a bunch to length need to haul it down still.

Nice looking property and setup you have there Dave. You even have something under the rounds there by the wood pile, that is prepared. I remember driving to Alaska when I was a kid of 17, driving 5th wheel trailers to Alaska with my dad because that was the easiest way to get them there to sell. Beautiful country. I think I remember you are from around Pittsburgh also. The Alaskan highway was a trip, 1000 miles of dirt and gravel, almost all the cars and trucks got their windshields cracked.

Those rounds look like a dream to split and fun, do you do it by hand or machine?

42! You are spoiled down there, was 8 above this morning and the snow is moving down the hills quickly!

Spoiled compared to what.
The North Pole :) :)
You are almost in the single digits , But it's a dry cold ;)

Snow mix forecast here this weekend. Same happened last year when I bought the permit, got a couple loads then the road iced/snow over.
Cutting done early last year. Hoping to get the permit filled before it runs out in a few days.

I hear that when BogyDave comes out and sees his shadow there will be six more weeks to winter. ;)

Yea
But on the front side or on the back side ?
Snow forecast again, hope it melts like last time :)

We've had Octobers dry & cold(sub zero) now snow on the ground, could drive any where with an ATV.
Have had them where it rarely got below freezing, was eating tomatoes into Nov. :)

Trend lately is back to long & cold & snowy.
I need to get more wood ;)

My favorite view, looks like you had a great day to work.

Best on so far this year. Cool, sunny, dry, & no bugs.
Hoping for a few days like it to get a few more loads. :)

Love that last pic - like a little kid getting surveying the sandbox....but it's a grown up surveying his wood! :)
