I'd grab that Napoleon 1900 and very quickly. It is overkill for your place but you won't find a deal like that anytime soon. That is one heckuva good price for that stove.

I think you should get the blaze king for $400 and if it doesn't have catalytic combustion you could put one of these in it:

It'll heat your whole house on low burn overnight and then some easily because you can build a big enough fire in it.

The Napolean will likely conform to regulations quicker, but with the secondary burn they don't go all night and it's small so at low burn you'll need more than that to heat 1200 square ft. I think. Edit: I had a Regency F1100 which is very similiar and it is supposed to heat 1200 sq and it did but only for a few hours so I'd have to wake up to a cold house and start the fire every morning.

That's my understanding, I hope it helps.

Sorry, I think you're thinking of some other stove. The Napoleon 1900 is a 3 cu ft stove. It is a very serious heater easily capable of a 10-12 hr burn and not similar to the little Regency at all. And it is a new stove that will take up much less room and will have closer clearances. It'll be a much easier 6" flue install. This is a new stove for less than half-price. Even if it turns out to be too much stove he can sell it at a profit. This is a no-brainer.

I had it confused with the 1100. Sorry about that. Thanks for the correction. Would you agree with me that the Blaze King with catalytic combustion would be better than the Napolean 1100 for 1200 sq. ft. and that the Regency 1100 is similiar to the Napolean 1100? "Hot Air Moderator"... good one :)

I can't tell if either of the old BKs are catalytic or pre-cat stoves. What I do know is that these stoves are physically huge and if pre-cat they are going to take up a very large amount of floor space to meet clearance requirements. In a small home the 1100 would have an advantage for this reason. The Napoleon 1100C is 1.7 cu ft which should do a decent job of heating a 1200 sq ft cabin unless the place is uninsulated and leaky.

Go for that 1900 and hope it hasn't sold already.
