Feeling the Heat

Going to be a cold night in New England and Elsewhere, time to spill the beans. What will your stove be dining on this evening?

Mine will be munching some AWF white pine softies and running full tilt. May even roast some liquid dinosaur remnants to supplement if need be.

Stay warm everyone!!!

50% Somersets and 50% field corn. 6.25PPH everything else on automatic....balls to the wall of course.

Compared to last year, this is a cakewalk.

Right now 100% Somersets. Might go 50 / 50 Sets and corn when I fill the hopper tonight. The extra heat will help. December was a cake walk and last winter was brutal. We still have a ways to go Sidecar. It ain't over yet!

Fair statement.. I'll go out in the front yard tonight and wave the newspaper your way...blowing that cold air toward you....... We had snow up to the top rail on the fence last year this time and brutal cold. No snow (well a little) this time around.

NWS says tonite will be the coldest night of the season so far and with an unlimited ceiling and nothing keeping the ground temps contained, I buy that.

I'll be doing some serious cuddling of the Missus tonite......

Currently have FSU in there, running my Whit on 3/3 day and night with these currently colder temps. (It is rare I have to go higher than 3/3). 19 degrees and dropping down to 5 tonight.

combination of Timber heats and Big Heat softies, later I have some AWF white pines to load up

Filled the XXV with Lecretes tonight, my neighbor raves about them....figured it was a good test.

How do I put my stove model in my posts?

Hopper filled with all corn, heat setting on 3 it's 75 and were happy.

Green Supremes, and a whole lot of them will be eaten tonight to heat my poorly insulated house in NY with a wind chill of -15.
I filled the kerosene heater and its ready to give the poor little 25pdvc a boost if needed. should be ok tho.

Its the wind that really kills it with my house.
