on that note who is going to the national guild convention next week in Lancaster?

Seems like the pros should go and provide full reports back here at Hearth
I will be going to the guild conference i was wondering if any of the other pros or industry guys would be there.

Quite a few sessions on Factory Built Fireplaces this year at ncsg, must be the hot new topic.
Yeah the existing units are getting older and are starting to need replaced. The one presenter thinks it is going to be a big part of the business soon

I will be going to the HPBA Show.

And I love pictures!

I'm wondering if Lopi will introduce the smaller (2 cu. ft.?) version of the Cape Cod. I forget what they were calling it. Last show it was only in mockup form.

Sorry BG, no small cape cod hybrid. It still hasn't made it to production, but apparently will but Not as a hybrid. Secondary tube only.

Ah well, it looked like a attractive mid-sized stove.

It will be! And the best part is they are skipping the hybrid parts. It'll bring the cost down as well as maintaince and failed parts.

If they can get it to burn cleanly enough to meet the new regs without a cat more power to them.

Any other interesting new stoves or HPBA news?

A free standing stove from Supreme, it's pretty cool. Nothing else too memorable that isn't top secret.::P;lol

There is a new steel stove from Avalon that will be available this summer. It's basically an endeavor box, dressed up nice and modern looking. It has an ashpan that uses 2 square plugs. The Ashpan is available on either legs or pedestal, it's enormous on the pedestal! It's nice!

Blaze King made a few new colors for chinook and the Ashford. They also enlarged the ash dump, just for the hearth.com community! They made a few other little adjustments to handles/latches etc.

Good deal. Did BK finally have the Ashford in blue-black enamel?

Yes. It's an enamel paint just like Jotuls BB. They also had an Ashford in a light metallic finish. A little lighter than new iron, it was cool.

Very good news. They should be popular colors. I love the blue-black finish on the Jotuls.
