Just bought a St. Croix Scf-050 Multifuel furnace for 1500.00 complete with all the venting and duct work. I'm excited.

The more I use the furnace, the more I Love it. It staying on level 1 90% of the time is a beautiful thing. Nights have been 15*-30* recently. Knowing there is plenty of BTU's left feels good.
I currently have my trims set Feed 3 and Draft 5 for Level 1 (Pilot/Maintenance). Seems to do a great job. Hasnt been cold enough to run all day. So it gets shut off at 6 a.m. and I fire it back up about 6 p.m. Using about a bag of pellets every 2-3 days. Cant wait till the real Cold gets here.
About those pics?? ;-P

I love knowing that I no longer have to pay for oil, and it is a much cleaner heat.

Sorry I didn't get back to you. I actually love it. I heated the house wonderfully, and cleaning is a breeze. Next spring we are having a gas furnace installed and we are connecting the St. Croix to that with all new venting throughout the whole house.Hi Dave,
I read through your thread, good stuff. Is it still working well for you? Just curios how big is your house, how many sq ft? Specs say it heats up to 1800sq ft. Mine is 2000 sq ft, but I've got another wood pellet stove as well, so thinking on really really cold days I could also add more heat that way. I live in MA, so we get some of those new england winters There is someone nearby offering one for $1750 will full 1 year service if anything goes wrong, so kind of thing it might be a good deal.
Thanks,
Chris
