Just went to my local lowes and they had 3 kind of pellets, infernos witch i would never touch, then they had Green team platiunums ( witch i know are the same as reg green team) i have 15 bags from the last ton i bought way back in sept and they burn hot and i have burn them for the most part since i have had my 25-ep(2years) and like the heat and not really alot of ash in bag or dust, then i saw north american pellets witch i used a couple bags last year and was suprised that they burned pretty clean and not much ash in bag either but not sure they run as hot as GT, so the question is, would you get a ton of Green team platinums for 5.49 a bag or a ton of North ameican pellet for 4.62 a bag, just wondered what the pellet pros would do ? thanks guys this forum as saved my pellet life lol

Well, I've haven't burned Green Teams yet, but they generally get good reviews on this forum - some find them a little ashy. Price difference (in ton) is almost $44.00. Most likely you will see members recommend the GTs over the North Americans, but honestly you should stick with whatever burns the hottest and cleanest in 'your' stove. I burn North Americans in my stove and find that they produce a little more heat than 'most' of my other pellets and more importantly they burn 'clean' for me - no clinkers and average ash - this is my experience. Together with that and the fact that they are relatively 'cheap' at the big box stores it's a win-win situation for me, I wouldn't hesitate at all to get a ton of the NA. I wouldn't spend over $5.00 / bag for GTs, I would for Okanagans, Cubex, Turmans, etc.
