Appalachian 219 ton.

Stove Chow 209 ton.

Powerhouse 199 ton.

Trying out a bag of Powerhouse now. But I have a multi-fuel so it will pretty much burn anything.

Opinions?

Then why ask, just go with the cheapest...

All three are pretty close overall. An edge(only slightly) to the Appalachian with heat. Power House were cleaner.

I'm with Chris, Power House for $199. ;-)

I just found.

Prestologs 219 ton
Cheat River? 219 ton

Price is important, but heat and ash also count. I am probably going with Powerhouse.

I haven't burned the Cheat Rivers yet!

Prestologs have got both good and bad reviews. The last batch I tried was very close to lignetics green lettered and were pretty stinking hot! But try some JIC!

PRESTO LOGGS from 2011 are ashy and a very little fines, from 2010 were darker and cleaner seemed hotter, chow down

out of those that you've listed, I liked Prestos the best. Cheat rivers were pretty good too, and the stove chow was ok. No experience with the other two.

Prestologs are made by Lignetics but do burn a bit more ashy. They also have some long pellets. I would go with stove chow over Powerhouse but hey each stove is different.
