I stopped by a local stove shop today to pick up some gasket rope and they were selling Bearmountain pellets. I've never seen them before. Are they worth the premium price? $265 a ton is high in my area.

The best from the west in most of my customers eyes. 100 hundred percent doug fir and burn really well. I have tried most every brand from northwest producers and they are at or near the top. Cleanburn, Pacific pellets, and Golden fire are also very good from the Oregon and Washington area.

I wonder what mill they have been getting sawdust from in western central washington then?? one of thier bearmountain marked haulers was seen at castlerock headed south loaded. Hemlock, Fir, Alder, also some places process Cottonwood, popular at the same mills. They do not have differnt storage bunkers for different speices of tree. units of lumber is graded and shipped as Hemfir since it has mixed materials.

I would say that is a good price for your area. in spanaway wash ( less than 150 miles from plant) at a large dealer with over 90 ton there they sell it for 239.99 when I called them today, & I have to go get it.

That's what I wanna know. Who anywhere is selling Bear Mountain for less than $285/ton.

I'm really sold on Pacific Pellets. IMHO, they are on par with Bear Mountain. I can get four tons of Pacific Pellet for the price of three tons of Bear Mountain.

Spazaway huh. How would you like to live in Puke It All Up?

I've used Bears in the past and they are the best I can buy here. My dealer sells his private lable doug firs this year for $252 with my buyers club deal. Next season he will have Bears again but, at over $300/ton, I may not be a buyer again.

What dealer had 'em for $265?

I called that A 1 stoves in parkland actually off 512 and steele street area when I was on my way to spanaway.

He is selling Bear Mountains for $239/ton? He was way over that not long ago. I have never been to happy with the attitude I get when I go in that place. Maybe they are coming around to reality?

Krooser, it was Top Hat in Baraboo and that was the price if you had bought your stove from them. I didn't, but know somebody who did.

I'll trade one of you fella's 2 bags of 100% oak pellets for 2 bags of them bearmountains! :cheese:

Let me know when your in the area. ;-)

Awe, It would only cost $80 bucks to ship them coast to coast! :cheese:

A long time ago we had a place that trucked in some Bear Mountains, when we had a pellet shortage over here! The about melted my little quad! But I paid dearly for them. I can get some Douglas Fir in my area(again very pricey) But they ain't no Bear Mountains!!!

Best pellet I have ever burnt! Cleanest-hottest pellet on this planet hands down! At least they were when I tried them, Nothing at the time compared. I'd love to give them another whirl to see how that stand up to todays competition!!! I contacted Bear Mountain and I think they just laughed at me. Very sad really-yep, I did cry real tears! With people saying the Pacific Pellets are just about as good makes me want some of them as well! But I live on the wrong side of the street to get any! :red:

Just hoping to someday post a review tis all!
