Awesome people, thank you for having us help you. Please call with any questions. The Heatilator is the best bang for your buck. And the "limonaid" was very refreshing when we were done.

Looks good.... Plenty of vertical rise and an OAK will make that a very happy stove. ;)

Eric is a good guy/dealer. Glad everything worked out and you got it put it today....

Heatilator is a Great stove for the money. Lots of experimenting next season. As a suggestion, I always liked running my Quad on Low (or Med, depending on outside temp) and let it run constantly (24/7 just left it on and would run it a week without shutdown and clean on Sunday). Once you get accustomed to how it runs, you can set the temp inside the house, by adjusting the feed gate in the hopper.

I had it down to a science. If it was 10° I ran on Med with the gate almost closed. At 20° I would run Low and the feed gate almost all the way open. The house feels warmer because there is no rise/fall in temps and everything in the house is warm (walls, couch, objects, etc).
Everyone has there preferences. So you may just have it start and stop with the t-stat.... But its best to experiment with different ways of heating. Even when I run on the stat and let it cycle on and off. I still ran on Low, so it started and ran for a long time and gave the house a good soak temp and didnt just heat the air and shut off. Once it does shut off, its off longer because all the objects amd walls are warmer and takes longer for the heat loss to kick the stove back on....

If any of that makes sense. The OAK was a great choice and I am sure you will have many yrs pf enjoyment.

Congrats Dave and Deb.... Welcome to the club.

Looks great! Enjoy!

need another half ton....workin on it!! :)

The Pellets you have. Are all good pellets and that Burn pot is gonna like them. ;)

I have burned all of those and they all some of my Top picks... With the Somersets taking top pick and the other 3 being very close behind. (Pro pellets and Greene Golds are a little less ashier than Green Ligs, but all 3 have great heat) The heat is all that counts. I find myself not pulling my ash clean out for a week or so. The pots on these (Quads/Heatilators) stay amazingly clean, as long as they are properly kept up and maintained (clean motors, flue, stove, gaskets, etc).

Glad Eric got you all squared away. Just wish it was colder so you could enjoy it.

What t-stat are you using? A programmable one, Smart stat, Skytech, standard wall stat?

using the wall tstat that came with the stove right now.....just have it sitting on a table across the room for now...May get a lux programmable b4 next winter for the swing settings......not sure about the wireless......seems like just something else that could malfunction....lol

Hi

Nice work and that is a good stove. The Lux T-Stats with the swing settings work very well and keep the stoves from short cycling! Just mount it in a good spot and set it and forget it!!

Stay cozy and Happy burning!
