But once I got going, how to make firewood all came back to me. HA! This was the one and only time I have been able to do it so far this summer. Now tomorrow, jury duty, yuck, then will be busy getting the next farm ready for auction by August 17th.

Cut up an old snag:

And hauled it home:

I even missed these guys!

I miss seeing the maul standing proud.
I bet the saw loved the workout.

Good for you quads for getting out and cutting after being off so long. Maybe you'll luck out and they won't want you for jury duty.

Someone whose hands look like mine. That grub is almost the thickness of your finger.

You needed some stress relief, bet you enjoyed the time in the woods ;)

Looks like some nice wood! I like the truck to, those things never seem to die.
You know cutting wood is kind of like riding a bike.......Once you have done it you will never forget how to do it for the rest of your life....

HA! Well, I was only back to it for that one afternoon. The next day I spent from 8:00am until after 9:00pm as jury foreman in the courtroom. Then the following day I burst a brake line on the Chevy S10 and fixed that. Now I'm busy getting ready for the next, and thankfully final, auction of the estate. Maybe September I will be able to cut a little wood again.........

quads, I like to say....."life is what happens while we're making other plans".
Life seems to be happening to you quite a bit while you're thinking of getting back to the woods.
You'll get there.
